Your compliments may be backhanded, but mine are backslashed. But hey, I'm not as bad as some: I once read a piece of Star Trek fanfic which used LaTeX to encode the equations Mr. Spock solved in between his torrid encounters with Captain Kirk. Backslash fiction, they call it.
